During the tour, we travel to Khevsureti – one of the unique regions of Caucasus Mountains located in Eastern part of Georgia. We pass an extreme and beautiful Datvijvari Pass with off-road vehicles. We have an opportunity to get to know highlander traditions and culture, discover ancient villages and fortresses located on steep slopes of high mountains. The journey includes visiting tombs of Anatori, famous with the cemetery of those deceased of plague. Tasting delicious dishes of Georgian cuisine prepared according to the local traditional methods is one of the most significant part of the tour.

Day 1

Tbilisi – Korsha – Roshka
Our tour starts with driving from Tbilisi with off-road cars towards Khevsureti to the village Roshka. On our way, we pass Zhinvali Reservoir and visit ethnographic museum in the village Korsha. After reaching village Roshka, we start hiking towards beautiful Abudelauri Lakes: Green, Blue and White Lakes. After a while, we get close to Chaukhi Mountains, where Green and Blue Lakes are located at the height of approximately 2600 meters above sea level, and in some more minutes of hiking, we reach White Lake formed from a snow and ice and which is located at the height of 2850 meters above sea level. After a short break, we get back to village Roshka.

Day 2

Roshka – Shatili
Early in the morning, we start driving with off-road cars towards Shatili Medieval Fortress Village. On our way, we cross beautiful pass of Datvijvari (2600 m), visit Kistani and Lebaiskari villages and reach Shatili. We take a lazy walk to explore the village and nearby places.

Day 3

Shatili – Mutso – Ardoti – Shatili
On a third day of our trip we drive towards village Mutso – former stronghold of the Georgian province Khevsureti, and to the village of Ardoti. On our way, we visit tombs of Anatori. According to the saying, when a plague came to the town in the Middle Ages, those afflicted by the disease walked to the tombs, where they set and patiently waited to die, rather than infect their healthy families and friends. After reaching and exploring villages of Mutso and Ardoti, we drive back to Shatili.

Day 4

Shatili – Tbilisi
On a last day of our trip, we drive back to Tbilisi. On our way, we visit the city of Mtskheta, once the capital of Georgian Kingdom – Iberia, where Christianity became official religion in 337. We visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral of the 11th century and Jvari Monastery of the 6th century (UNESCO) and finish our journey in Tbilisi.
