During our journey, we have an opportunity to explore Khevi (Kazbegi) – the unique side of Caucasus Mountains located in Northeastern part of Georgia. We cross Georgian Military Road and Jvari Pass, take hike towards shelter of Kazbegi Mountain, visit small temple of Holy Trinity located at the height of 3950 meters above sea level and take delight in panoramic views of Caucasus Mountains. During the tour, we have an opportunity to get to know highlander culture and traditions, discover ancient villages and fortresses located on steep slopes of high mountains and taste delicious dishes of Georgian cuisine.

Day 1

Tbilisi – Stepantsminda
The first day of our journey starts with driving towards Stepantsminda. On our way, we pass famous Georgian Military Road, Gudauri ski resort and Jvari Pass. We visit Ananuri Church and Fortress of the 16th century and stop at Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument to enjoy breathtaking views.

Day 2

Stepantsminda – Gergeti – Betlemi shelter
We wake up early in the morning to drive and visit Gergeti Trinity Church, from where we start hiking towards Betlemi shelter (3687 m). Hiking continues from the height of 3200 meters on the glacier tongue of Kazbegi and in several hours, we reach Betlemi shelter, located at the bottom of Kazbegi (Mkinvartsveri).

Day 3

Betlemi shelter
Today we start hiking from the base camp to the direction of small temple of Holy Trinity, located at the height of 3950 meters above sea level. Here we can take a time to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Caucasus Mountains. After a short break, we start hiking back to the base camp. In the evening, we have a free time to relax.

Day 4

Betlemi shelter – Stepantsminda – Juta
Today we drive back to Stepantsminda and after a short break take a route towards the small village of Juta. After arriving in the village, we have a free time to relax.

Day 5

Juta – Stepantsminda
The fifth day of our journey starts with approximately three hours of hiking to Chaukhi pass. After a short break we hike back to Juta and continue journey with off-road cars towards Stepantsminda. Then, we drive to Georgia-Russia border via Dariali gorge. After visiting Dariali monastery and exploring nearby territories, we drive back to Stepantsminda.

Day 6

Stepantsminda – Tbilisi
The last morning of our trip, we drive towards the beautiful gorge of Truso. After visiting travertines and Nunnery in Abano village, we take a direction towards the city of Mtskheta, once the capital of Georgian Kingdom – Iberia, where Christianity became official religion in 337. After visiting Svetitskhoveli Cathedral of the 11th century and Jvari Monastery of the 6th century (UNESCO), we return to Tbilisi.
